An interesting link

In my quest for a battery operated lawn mower, I stumbled across Comfort House who bill themselves as the source for products that make your life easier. Indeed, they have a wide selection of products for inside and outside the home. By the way, they do carry a cordless mower in just my size and price range so looks as though I will be ordering from them soon.

Here's a new link

The National Gardening Association is a nonprofit organization started in 1972 to assist gardeners and gardening. This is a really great site offerings lots of gardening information, free stuff like e-cards and a shop offering plants, accessories and other items. Members ($24.95 annually) also receive an email newsletter, a snail mail newsletter twice a year as well as access to free online courses and discounts in their shop. Take your coffee along and put your feet up as you scroll through this fabulous site.

Another new link

The Garden Gate offers a wide variety of links to informational garden sites. There are several categories to choose from including The Reading Room, The Teaching Garden, Garden Shop, Sun Room, and Mailing Lists to name a few. Stop by and visit them but make sure you have lots of time. You won't want to move away from this site quickly.

Garden Information

I was searching for information about xeriscape landscaping and came across High Country Gardens. They offer a variety of plants and advice particularly tied to drought tolerant perennials. High Country Gardens even offers a free ezine containing lots of garden tips and special Internet offerings. Unfortunately they don't ship to Florida so I'm out of luck, but hope there are many of you out there who can benefit from their site.

Garden Friends

I told you a little while ago about my friend who was having difficulty identifying her iris. She and I traded comments and eventually got the answer from Greg McCullough at Iris City Gardens. I inadvertently forgot to mention her site Garden Blog Zone 8 What Up?!!!. She shares some beautiful plant photos along with other great garden information. By the way, the "strange little iris" is an Iris Japonica Alba. Be sure to look for the picture.

Garden Information

Another resource has come across my desk for us tropical gardeners. Tropical Plants Library provides answers on a myriad of tropical plant questions including houseplant concerns. This site is owned by Master Gardener Landscaping of Fort Lauderdale, landscape designers who also have a mail order plant business. Visit this site soon for some great information.
